Horse Sand Fort – Portsmouth Travel Poster
Horse Sand Fort is one of the larger Royal Commission sea forts in the Solent off Portsmouth. The Horse Sand Fort is one of the groups of forts known as the Palmerston Follies. It is 200 feet (61 m) across, built between 1865 and 1880, with two floors and a basement and armour-plated all round.
This Horse Sand Fort poster shows the fort as it stands today. It is now a museum for the public to experience the history of the Palmerston’s Follies group of forts.

About the Travel Posters series
I love travelling and seeing new places and landmarks. I also like to keep a little keepsake like a fridge magnet or postcard of the places I’ve visited. This inspired me to start designing my own take on local and worldwide landmarks. I want to evoke memories of the places you’ve visited with my wide collection of travel prints.
